  The company isn't all that it's cracked up to be. For one to run an successful business. You might want to ensure that your employees are happy. Read the RIPOFF REPORT online also. We have to beg (ALMOST) to get paid. When we call to speak with the owner, they says he is never there and he does be. The kitchen manager is very rude to the employees. He thinks that he can talk down on people all the time. Mind you these are supposed to be grown business men. Who are supposed to handle themselves in an orderly fashion, show leadership and not bully their employees. I am writing this because not only I have had an issue, but others before me and more possibly after.
  
  But to add injury to insult, the owner himself will give his employees paychecks in their hands to be cashed and they will bounce, as well as when they are deposited into his employees personal checking accounts. He told me on his "TOP CHEF" review that I was fully paid. But my last paycheck received was on February 17, 2017 and my last day of working for the company was on February 27, 2017. Meaning that I am entitled to two additional paychecks. One which is to be paid on 3/3/2017 and on 3/17/2017. Yes I quit the job at Crystal Spoon, and I could have been more professional about me leaving to pursue a job elsewhere, but neither he or his kitchen manager was available when I received the news to tell them that 2/27/17 would be my last day, nor did I think that they would react to this like this. I mean not paying me my money that I worked hard for, made sure I was on time to work to help build their empire and he does people this way? What did we ever do to get this kind of treatment? We worked when scheduled and should be paid for it. He selfishly is taking food out of my eight month old son's mouth and enabling me from getting all that he needs ( diapers and wipes) I mean what human does this? This is ridiculous and one time when me and another employee walked into CFSC ( A check cashing in Elmsford NY) We was told that they could not cash our paychecks from Crystal Spoon due to checks that had bounced in the past and one had recently bounced on February 15, 2017 and they have been trying to reach out to the company, but haven't heard back from anyone. It's preposterous. He just tried to make it seem like i was harassing him by phone. When all i was requesting is to be paid. Because the owner (Paul) has a history of not paying employees and if I am lying contact CFSC (The check cashing in Elmsford NY). They still have yet to hear back from him about monies owed to them. This company needs to really be brought to justice. I started working on Jan 11, 2017 and I have seen them fire and re hire people, for no real cause and then bring them back under false pretenses. There are no benefits until after a year and no direct deposit at all for employees. It was also brought to my attention that others who took him to court settled out of court and was never compensated either. If you think I am lying, look up The Ripoff Report and search for The Crystal Spoon. It has been going on for years to his employees and he needs to be brought to justice.
  
  I assumed that I was working for a good company, but I was completely wrong. I spoke with Paul on Thursday and he clearly said to me in front of another employee while on the phone with me that he would mail out my paycheck and I really doubt that I get it. I am going to continue to go ahead with the legal proceedings, because I am not the only victim who has not been compensated for the hours that we have worked at his company. It's wrong and their is simply nothing at this point he can do to fix this matter. I am now having to be behind on my bills because of this and I will seek justice for my work at the Crystal Spoon ( I have my hours documented in on my calendar, proof from babysitter and co worker) pain and suffering, lost wages, back pay on bills and lawyer fees when I take him to court. I am upset that it has come to this, but the damage is done. But PLEASE look up the reviews, you will see also for yourself
